Welcome to the Literacy Council of Williamson County’s blog!
We are a nonprofit organization serving adults in Williamson County and parts of Northern Travis County. We are dedicated to improving the literacy skills of adults and to helping high school dropouts earn a GED, as well as providing ESL classes for the community.
We hope that our blog will keep you updated with the happenings here at LCWC, and that you enjoy reading our well thought-out, entertaining, and witty posts! After all, literacy is more than just reading, it’s a lifestyle. In the coming weeks, we will post blogs explaining the importance of our work, literacy itself in all of its facets, and will have a blog-series on the different types of literacy. (Yes, there’s more than one!) We will share stories with you about our experiences working for and with the LCWC and with our community.
Are you interested in writing a blog for us? We’d love to feature you! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or with any questions you might have.
